About the role

As Senior Environmental Officer (Renewables), you will drive best-practice environmental impact assessment (EIA) for renewable and major projects.

  • Lead and deliver EIA processes for renewable and major developments.
  • Provide authoritative, risk-based advice on environmental impacts and mitigation.
  • Prepare high-quality Environmental Assessment Reports and statutory instruments.
  • Contribute to strategic improvements in assessment frameworks and processes.
  • Represent the EPA in cross-agency forums, committees, and industry engagement.

Hours per week

36.75 hours (or part time hours, by negotiation).

Period of appointment

24 months.

Desirable requirements

  • A degree in Science, Engineering, Environmental Studies or related field, or an equivalent qualification from a recognised tertiary institution.
  • Detailed understanding of environmental management as related to renewable energy would be considered advantageous.
  • A current motor vehicle driver’s licence.
