Senior Environmental Officer (709429)
About the role
Undertake regulation, compliance activities and management of environmentally relevant activities according to the objectives, principles and requirements of Tasmania’s Resource Management and Planning System including the Environmental Management and Pollution Control Act 1994 and other relevant legislation and policies, in the areas of wastewater, waste, mining, finfish farming, industrial operations or contaminated land and waste systems.
Hours per fortnight
73.50 hours per fortnight (minimum 58.80 hours, by negotiation).
Desirable requirements
- A degree or other qualifications in a discipline relevant to the position or demonstrated practical experience in environmental management or regulation at an equivalent level.
- A current motor vehicle driver’s licence.
- Previous experience in incident response, or the ability to acquire skills and knowledge in this area.
