Join our dedicated Cardiology Services team as a Registered Nurse specialising as a Cardiac Rehabilitation Nurse and make a real difference in patients' lives. This permanent, full-time position offers the chance to work alongside skilled healthcare professionals in our North-based hospital, providing expert cardiac care to our community.

In this role, you'll use your clinical skills to support educate and train patients / clients and their family post cardiac intervention. You'll work as part of a supportive multidisciplinary team committed to delivering excellent patient outcomes.

What you'll be doing?

  • Engage with patients/clients and their families/carers to facilitate the provision of optimum care.
  • Develop, implement, and evaluation teaching plans for patients/clients and their families/carers, identifying and meeting their educational needs
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical research including participation in organisational committees and working groups.
  • Work effectively within a multidisciplinary team, contributing to a strong team approach through open communication and a positive supportive approach
  • Mentor and support junior nursing staff.

Details of appointment

  • Permanent full time, day worker position, working up to 76 hours per fortnight, commencing from as soon as you can join us.

*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Salary

$80,524 to $109,175 per annum. Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

  • Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement 2023.

Access to the Grade 4 salary range $102,439- $109,175 is subject to successful application for progression to Grade 4

In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:

  • Post Graduate Allowance of up to 10% based on qualification type

Salary Packaging 

You’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.

Eligibility

Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria

  • Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse

Applicants should note the following criteria are desirable:

  • Current Driver’s Licence

  • Holds, or working towards, a post graduate study in cardiovascular nursing
