- Current registration and eligibility to practise in accordance with the role requirements.
- Recent and ongoing experience in community general practice.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary clinical teams and build positive relationships with patients and healthcare colleagues.
- An interest in ADHD care and the ability to contribute to the ongoing development of contemporary, patient-centred outpatient services.

Salary
Specialist Medical Practitioner Level 1- Senior Specialist Medical Practitioner Level 3 $222,789 - $319,701 per annum, pro rata + 12% superannuation + access to salary packaging
Please note that access to the Senior Specialist Medical Practitioner salary range $309,222 - $319,701 is subject to the successful applicant satisfying the criteria for Senior Specialist Medical Practitioner Level 1, 2 or 3 as outlined in the Medical Practitioners (Tasmanian State Service) Award.
- Salary range is in accordance with Medical Practitioners Agreement 2025
In addition, the following allowances and benefit, calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:
- Salary packaging options include a range of benefits like living expenses up to $9,010 and $2,650 in meals and entertainment every year.
- Motor vehicle allowance of $30,254 per annum, pro rata.
- Subject to approval from the Private Patient Scheme Committee (PPS), 35% of base salary plus on-call, (pro rata) of additional payment will be paid from (PPS). If not admitted to the PPS, a 35% in lieu of PPS of base salary will be paid.
- Continuing Professional Development Allowance of $17,483 per annum, pro rata.
- Travel and relocation assistance support may be available.
- Professional development and accelerated pathways.
- A range of leave entitlements, including study leave and Professional Development Support.
- Fitness Passport – You, and your family can access 40+ fitness facilities across Tasmania for just $14.50 per week per person, or $28.05 for a family.

Eligibility
Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria:
- Holds specialist registration; or
- Is a registered Medical Practitioner who is an International Medical Graduate (IMG) who is on the specialist pathway; or
- Is a registered Medical Practitioner who is an International Medical Graduate (IMG) who has a recognised overseas specialist qualification and is assessed as having sufficient experience in the speciality.
- Current Working with Children Registration.
Applicants should note the following criteria are desirable:
- Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners; or
- Fellowship of the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine.
- Current and ongoing clinical practice in the community.
