The Launceston General Hospital is Tasmania's second largest hospital with a busy elective and emergency service utilising 9 main Operating Theatres. The LGH works closely with the University of Tasmania and is a major clinical teaching and research centre. The Role
Enrolled Nurses within the Operating Room Suite work across the domains of Instrument and Circulating, with an option of Anaesthetics to provide elective and emergency care to patients across multiple specialty areas.
You will need
- Previous experience in instrument and circulating is highly desirable.
- The successful applicant will thrive in a dynamic and ever changing environment to deliver safe and positive patient outcomes.
- A high level of communication, problem solving and organisational skills are desired attributes to ensure success in the role.

Permanent part time, shift worker position, working 36 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as you can join our team!

Salary
$73,109 to $80,524 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
- Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement 2023.
In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:
- Post Graduate Allowance of up to 7.5% based on qualification type

Eligibility
Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria
- Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as an Enrolled Nurse
Applicants should note the following criteria are desirable:
- Minimum 12 months Operating Room experience within the last 3 years
- Minimum 3 years Operation Room experience within the last 5 years
- Attainment of Post Graduation Certificate, or greater, in the area of Perioperative Nursing
- Affiliation with Perioperative Nursing Body – Australian Council of Operation Room Nurses
