Fixed term full time, day worker (with on call) position, working up to 76 hours per fortnight, commencing from as soon as possible for a three year period.
*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant
Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time and casual vacancies.
Salary:
Specialist Medical Practitioner Level 1 - Senior Specialist Medical Practitioner Level 3 $222,789 - $319,701 per annum, pro rata + 12% superannuation.
With the range of allowances included in the salary, the salary package at full time, can range from $482,685 - $671,153 per annum, pro rata + 12% superannuation.
Please note that access to the Senior Specialist Medical Practitioner salary range $309,222 - $319,701 is subject to the successful applicant satisfying the criteria for Senior Specialist Medical Practitioner Level 1, 2 or 3 as outlined in the Medical Practitioners (Tasmanian State Service) Award
- Salary range is in accordance with Medical Practitioners Agreement 2025
In addition, the following allowances and benefit, calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:
• Salary packaging options include a range of benefits like living expenses up to $9,010 and $2,650 in meals and entertainment every year
- Provision of a fully maintained private plated motor vehicle or motor vehicle allowance of $30,254 per annum, pro rata
- Allowance in lieu of private practice schemes 35%
- North West Recruitment and Retention Allowance 20%

- Specialist or limited registration with the Medical Board of Australia in a relevant specialty
- Current Working with Children Registration
