Business Manager - Statewide THS Pathology

 

The Team

Our team, THS Pathology, is looking for a finance professional who enjoys partnering with leaders to support both strategic and operational decisions.  The Department of Health has created a new statewide pathology service and we are THS Pathology. The service has transitioned the pathology laboratories at the Launceston General Hospital and Royal Hobart Hospital into a single, statewide pathology service. With this, there is a new team forming around existing operations and this is an exciting new role to support, enhance and grow THS Pathology.

The Role

This Business Manager role is a new position with responsibility to support the whole statewide service.  Professionally reporting to the Manager of Finance & Business, this role will require working closely and collaboratively with the Executive Director of THS Pathology and partnering with laboratory, clinical and executive stakeholders to provide high-quality financial insights, support strategic decision making and identify operational, including commercial improvements across the Pathology Service. 

You will need

  • To be a key expert advisor to THS Pathology and all the operational areas within
  • Oversee business requirements including budget and financial management to support the effective use of allocated resources
  • Be able to operate with a considerable independence in determining priorities, procedures and approach to implementing policies, plans, systems and procedures in the complex specialised environment, learning about pathology and government related requirements

Details of appointment

Permanent full time, day worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.

Salary

$111,754 to $126,579 per annum. Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

  • Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2025
