About the role

The Business Enterprise Coordinator leads the operations of Mole Creek Caves, Narawntapu Visitor Centre and Arm River Outdoor Education Centre, with responsibility for:

  • Lead and support a high-performing team.
  • Oversee retail operations and financial reporting.
  • Manage facility maintenance and site assets.
  • Drive marketing and visitor engagement initiatives.
  • Coordinate visitor, interpretation and education programs.

Based at Mole Creek, you will work in the stunning Tasmanian Wilderness World Heritage Area, renowned for its caves, sinkholes, gorges and unique karst landscapes.

Permanent position working 73.50 hours (minimum 58.80 hours, by negotiation) per fortnight.

Our ideal candidate

  • Experience leading diverse teams across customer service and retail operations.
  • Experience managing or operating a business, with a sound understanding of commercial and operational requirements.
  • Excellent judgement and decision-making skills, with the ability to prioritise competing business, project, and staffing demands while supporting recommendations with evidence and sound reasoning.
  • Knowledge and understanding of caves, karst environments, and/or earth systems.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to navigate change and adapt quickly to shifting priorities.
  • Experience developing engaging interpretive content for a range of audiences.
