Duties:

  1. Provide leadership, direction and oversight on all aspects of the Project during finalisation of design and transition into construction including in seeking statutory approvals, construction and commissioning of the Project to ensure it is delivered as part of the broader redevelopment of Macquarie Point.
  2. Monitor and report on key aspects of the Project, including emerging issues, cost and planning benchmarks, and compliance with relevant agreements and expectations.
  3. Provide timely, accurate and appropriate advice to the Project Director, Executive Team, project governance, Board and relevant Ministers on all aspects of the Project.
  4. Identify, analyse and resolve emerging issues and risks as they arise.
  5. Work closely with internal and external stakeholders, including regular engagement, discussion and effective collaboration and management of stakeholders and delivery partners.
  6. Manage timelines, scheduling and reporting in keeping with agreed identified requirements, agreements and interim milestones.
  7. Provide leadership and direction in managing the physical, human and financial resources of the Project.
  8. Effectively deliver and monitor compliance and execution of contracts, including a focus on the effective management and performance of key indicators and reporting of advisors, contractors and consultants. 
  9. Ensure regular communications on the project staging, progress and achievements to keep delivery partners, stakeholders and the community informed throughout the Project stages.
  10. Actively participate in and contribute to the organisation’s Work Health & Safety processes, including the development and implementation of safety systems, improvement initiatives and related training, ensuring that quality and safety improvement processes are in place and acted upon

Essential Requirements

Management experience in large scale and complex project oversight and/or management.

Desirable Requirements

Tertiary qualifications in a related discipline
