Job description:
Lead TMAG’s First Peoples agenda, embedding Indigenous voices in strategy, operations, and cultural priorities.
This key leadership and creative role is responsible for developing and leading policies, strategies, museum practice and organisational change through First Peoples engagement, decolonisation and sovereignty methodologies, and advocacy and representation. The role is responsible for building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including Tasmanian Aboriginal People, Tasmanian and Federal Government agencies, national and international First Peoples organisations and collecting institutions, community and corporate entities and funding bodies.
The Deputy Director, First Peoples will provide strategic leadership in the development and delivery of an organisation wide First Peoples engagement framework for TMAG.
