Job description:

To contribute toward delivering protective security programs and projects and to develop associated policies and procedures. To undertake research and analysis and to support the work of the Department by providing advice relating to protective security policy.

Period of Appointment

2 years

Hours per fortnight

73.50 hours per fortnight - flexible options available. 

Duties

  • Coordinate and undertake activities to support the program, project, policy, and other initiatives consistent with Tasmania’s Protective Security Policy Framework and the Agency Protective Security Roadmap.
  • Contribute to the development of the Agency Protective Security Plan, including providing support in relation to risk assessment and mitigation.
  • Prepare correspondence, reports, briefing notes, plans, and other documentation.
  • Research and analyse protective security related issues and provide advice, and recommendations.
  • Provide advice to agency managers and employees on matters relating to protective security policy.
  • Represent the Department on working groups and forums as required.
  • The incumbent can expect to be allocated duties, not specifically mentioned in this document, that are within the capacity, qualifications and experience normally expected from persons occupying positions at this classification level.
