The Team:
Casual Diversional Therapy Assistants are required to support our Adult Day Centre Teams in Latrobe, Ulverstone and Wynyard, to provide a continuous service to our clients. If you love working with people in the community to support them to maintain wellness in a social environment, this position will suit you. The Adult Day Centres focuses on working with clients to develop and provide client focused activities, social engagement and bus outings to enhance their wellbeing and social connection as well as supporting carers.
The Adult Day Centres are a service within the Primary Health Team North West, working with clients to identify their needs, develop and provide them with social engagement and support, with a wellness and reablement focus, in a centre environment. You will work with a small team to deliver exceptional experiences for our clients.
The Role:
Provide supervision, support and activities to clients, as set out in the Monthly Programme, to ensure they achieve their wellness goals in a positive environment.
You will need:
- Strong desire to work with community clients in a social environment
- To be adaptable and team focused
- Proficient computer skills and ability to learn computer systems required for the position

Details of appointments:
Fixed term, casual, position working as and when required, commencing as soon as possible for approximately 12 months.
*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.
Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.
Salary: $67,193 to $72,126 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
- Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022

Eligibility:
Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria. Applicants should note the following criteria are desirable:
- Certificate IV in Leisure and Lifestyle.
- Current First Aid Certificate.
- Medium Rigid (MR) class Licence and Ancillary Certificate (for driving Public Passenger vehicles).
- Current Driver’s Licence.
