Period of employment / Hours:
Permanent full-time (76.00 hours per fortnight) day work (part-time hours may be considered by negotiation)

Homes Tasmania - Housing Policy & Programs – Preference for the role to be conducted from the North/ Northwest; however, Statewide applicants will be considered (**)

Duties:
Primary Purpose / Focus :
This is a senior officer role within the Housing Policy and Programs branch, requiring experience in managing contracts with community sector organisations and demonstrated ability to think critically with strong communication skills to support change within Tasmania’s housing and homelessness system.
The Senior Contract Manager, as part of the Housing Support Programs unit, will help monitor the performance of service providers, manage the contract relationship with service providers, and ensure contractual obligations are being met. They will do this by keeping all stakeholders informed and providing timely and accurate advice to senior management and by working closely with service providers.
Skills and experience :
Selection criteria includes:
- Highly developed interpersonal skills, including verbal communication skills, and demonstrated ability to represent Homes Tasmania externally, and ability to build trust and work collaboratively with Homes Tasmania’s partners to maintain productive relationships.
- Highly developed time management and administrative skills, with demonstrated ability to work quickly under pressure, often according to complex rules and procedures, and be adaptive to change.
- Well-developed conceptual and analytical skills, including investigative skills, and demonstrated ability to understand the operational and financial risks of relevant service providers and make recommendations to shape strategic thinking at senior management level.
