Job description:

The King Island Hospital and Health Centre are seeking motivated Multi-Skilled Domestics to join their team.

The Team:

The team at King Island Hospital and Health Centre (KIHHC) is dedicated to delivering exceptional care to residents, patients, and community members who rely on the facility. KIHHC offers 14 residential aged care beds at Netherby Home, along with 5 sub-acute beds and 2 emergency first response unit beds. The role of the MSD is essential, as they play a key part in supporting and servicing all these areas, ensuring a comprehensive and far-reaching impact on service provision.

The Role:

The King Island Hospital and Health Centre are seeking motivated Multi-Skilled Domestics to join their team.

The Multi-skilled Domestic provides:

* Environmental Cleaning: The MSD is responsible for maintaining a high standard of cleanliness throughout the hospital, including the clinical areas, patient rooms, and accommodation spaces. 

Catering Support: The MSD plays a crucial role in the preparation and delivery of high-quality meals, ensuring that each meal is tailored to meet the individual dietary and nutritional requirements of every patient.

Managing linen supplies: The MSD ensures that all patient and hospital linens, including bed sheets, towels, and personal clothing, are regularly laundered, properly sorted, and distributed.

Details of appointment:

Permanent, part time, shift worker (fully rotational) position, working 48 hours per fortnight, from 1 July 2025.

*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.

Salary: $57,130 to $62,486 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

  • Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022

Salary Packaging:

You’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.
