Job description:

Deliver strategic IR advice, lead HR consultants, manage awards, policy and legislation, and represent Health Dept in tribunals.

The Role:

Provide specialist advice and management through strategic development, operational implementation and proactive delivery of a diverse range of workplace relations, employment and policy development, award/legislative interpretation, advocacy and award management.

Provide advocacy and representation services for the Department of Health before review organisations in industrial tribunals and other forums.

Ensure the delivery of effective and efficient industrial relations service by providing:

  • Day to day leadership and management to the HR Industrial Consultants; and
  • Specialist advice relating to complex industrial relations matters.

Details of appointment:

Fixed term, part time, day worker position, working 60.8 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon possible until 31 January 2027.

*Notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.

Salary: $128,102 to $134,832 per annum pro-rata. Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

  • Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022.

Eligibility:

Applicants should note the following criteria are desirable:

  • Satisfactory completion of an appropriate course of study from a recognised tertiary institution in a relevant field and/or experience in the management, leadership and delivery of employee relation or human resource services.
