The Role:
The Administrative Assistant provides administrative and clerical support to Human Resources (HR) staff and clients and will undertake a diverse range of administrative projects and activities, including the coordination and processing of pre-employment data and administration of electronic processes relating to establishment variations and recruitment.
Duties:
- Monitor and maintain the HR mailboxes and respond to general enquiries relating to HR services and refer non-standard / complex enquiries to the relevant HR staff member.
- Undertake general administrative duties including mail processing, photocopying and scanning, collation and distribution of documents and correspondence, filing, and routine ordering and processing activities relevant to the office environment.
- Maintain electronic records and information systems for the efficient operation of HR, including the coordination of the conviction checks and Working with Children registration processes.
- Work within a team environment and undertake a range of tasks as directed by the Manager - Recruitment, including preparation of recruitment-related correspondence, in accordance with established processes and procedures.
- In accordance with Agency policy and procedures, ensure that the confidentiality of all records, information and enquiries is strictly maintained.
You will need:
- Demonstrated ability to undertake a wide range of administrative tasks in support of Recruitment Services and the broader HR team, delivering results in a timely, accurate and professional manner.

A courteous and respectful approach with an ability to maintain confidentiality, display initiative and provide relevant, accurate information to clients, stakeholders and members of the public.

Well-developed interpersonal skills to communicate and liaise with a diverse range of people in a polite, sensitive and confidential manner.

Details of appointment:
1 Permanent part time, day worker position working 45.6 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.
1 Fixed term part time, day worker position working 30.4 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible until 4 February 2026
*notwithstanding hours may be negotiated with the successful applicant
Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.
Salary: $64,125 to $68,925 per annum pro rata. Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
