Job description:

We are seeking Clinical Nurse Specialist who can work in partnership with Nurse Unit Manager (NUM), Clinical Nurse Consultant (CNC) and medical staff to provide leadership and clinical practice development across a range of outpatient gynaecological services.

The Role:

Ensure the provision of effective and efficient care across a range of gynaecological specialities, the Clinical Nurse Specialist - Outpatient Gynaecology Services:

  • Works in partnership with Nurse Unit Manager (NUM), Clinical Nurse Consultant (CNC) and medical staff to provide leadership and clinical practice development across a range of outpatient gynaecological services.
  • Provides specialist care and expertise across a range of gynaecological outpatient specialties including but not exclusive to colposcopy, hysteroscopy, urogynae dynamics and gynae endocrine.
  • Reviews, interprets and implements clinical and/or educational policies, regulations and guidelines in collaboration with the NUM, CNC and medical staff.

The Team: Womens+ 

  • Our Women's Health+ department is dedicated to delivering compassionate and comprehensive care to women across all stages of life. We are currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) in Gynaecology to join our dynamic team.
  • As a Gynaecology Clinical Nurse Specialist at Launceston General Hospital, you will play a pivotal role in providing expert nursing care, education, and support to patients and staff in Women's+.
  • You will collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the delivery of evidence-based care, contribute to the development of clinical guidelines, and support the continuous improvement of patient outcomes in gynaecology.

Details of Appointment

Permanent, full time, day worker position working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing from 3 November 2024

*notwithstanding hours may be negotiated with the successful applicant

  • Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or fixed term full time, part time and casual vacancies.

Salary: $103,466  - $109,165 per annum. Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

  • You’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible. 
  • Payment of $15,000 staged over three years is available for Nurses and Midwives who move to Tasmania from interstate and remain employed full time for three years or more, on top of relocation allowance already available.
  • In addition, the following allowance calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:
    • Post Graduate Allowance of up to 10% based on qualification type 
  • Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmanian State Service) Agreement 2023

Eligibility:

Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria:

  1. Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse

  2. Current Working with Children Registration

  1. Holds or is working towards relevant post tertiary qualifications
