Job description:
The Professional Practice Evidence & Research Lead plays a pivotal part in advancing research, innovation, and evidence-informed practice across Child Safety and Youth Justice. Working closely with the Chief Allied Health Advisor, the position provides strategic advice on research priorities and supports the development of initiatives that improve outcomes for children, young people, and families. The role collaborates with Allied Health Professionals and multidisciplinary teams to design, implement, and evaluate research and innovation projects, ensuring alignment with departmental goals and best practice standards at state, national, and international levels.
In addition to leading research governance and compliance, the role fosters partnerships with academic institutions, professional bodies, and government agencies to strengthen workforce capability and policy innovation. It also delivers targeted education, training, and mentoring programs to build research literacy and leadership among Allied Health staff. A key focus is ensuring services meet accreditation and quality standards, contributing to continuous improvement and a culture of excellence in service delivery.
