The Role:

The Registered Nurse:

  • Strengthens health outcomes through the provision of safe quality, clinically appropriate nursing care in partnership with patients/clients, their families and other health professionals.

  • The FIMPC offers you the ability to stretch yourself over many nursing disciplines. We cover emergency, acute and residential care within our 15 bed facility.

Details of Appointment

Multiple permanent, shift work, positions working up to 76 hours per fortnight commencing from 20 February 2022 

*hours will be negotiated with the successful applicant

  • Applicants should note that, for a period of six months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time and part time vacancies.

Salary: $67,9820 - $93,964 per annum (pro rata) + 10% superannuation + access to salary packaging

  • Access to the Grade 4 salary range $87,970 - $93,964  is subject to successful application for progression to Grade 4
  • Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmanian State Service) Agreement 2019

Eligibility:

Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria:

  1. Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse

The Head of the State Service has determined that the person nominated for this job is to satisfy a pre‑employment check before taking up the appointment, on promotion or transfer. The following checks are to be conducted:

  1. Conviction checks in the following areas:
    1. crimes of violence
    2. sex related offences
    3. serious drug offences
    4. crimes involving dishonesty
  2. Identification check
  3. Disciplinary action in previous employment check.
