Job description:

In partnership with local communities, assist with developing and maintaining the Early Learning for 3 Year Olds (EL3) trial in designated communities. At the direction of the Manager, Community Engagement, work collaboratively with the community, parents/caregivers, local and state government agencies and service providers to support the place-based approach to the design and delivery of the EL3 trial.

The Team

Community Inclusion Workers (CIW) are integral to the family engagement process of the Early Learning for Three Year Old’s (EL3) initiative. CIW provide dedicated, external support to families, distinct from education and care (EC) service providers, helping to identify and overcome barriers to accessing early learning. This targeted engagement is critical to ensuring equitable participation, particularly for families who may face complex challenges.

About the Role

In partnership with local communities, assist with developing and maintaining the Early Learning for 3 Year Olds (EL3) trial in designated communities.
At the direction of the EL3 Project Lead, work collaboratively with the community, parents/caregivers, local and state government agencies and service providers to support the place-based approach to the design and delivery of the EL3 trial.

We are looking for

Essential

  • Current Tasmanian Registration to Work with Vulnerable People (RWVP) with a registration Status – Employment
  • A current driver’s licence

Desirable

  • An appropriate qualification, such as a qualification in Child Care, Early Childhood Education, Health Care and/or Community Development, or a related discipline.
