Job description:

Manage, co-ordinate and direct the activities of the IT Business Application Support Services to ensure that efficient and effective IT business application support, development and strategic IT business application architecture and standards are developed and provided across the Department and the broader education portfolio. Produce and maintain the business applications lifecycle roadmap and development plan on a regular basis.

This is a Department built entirely for children and young people and their communities.  Our ultimate goal is to work together to ensure that every child and young person in Tasmania is known, safe, well and learning.

Duties

Manage, co-ordinate and direct the activities of the IT Business Application Support Services to ensure that efficient and effective IT business application support, development and strategic IT business application architecture and standards are developed and provided across the Department and the broader education portfolio. Produce and maintain the business applications lifecycle roadmap and development plan on a regular basis.

Period of Appointment

Ongoing - ASAP start date

Applicants should be aware that for twelve (12) months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill any subsequent full-time or part-time vacancies in accordance with Employment Direction 1.

Hours per fortnight

73.5 hours per fortnight

Essential Requirements

  • Current Tasmanian Registration to Work with Vulnerable People (Registration Status – Employment)

Desirable Requirements

  • Appropriate post secondary qualification and / or industry experience relevant to the duties and responsibilities. 
  • At least five years' experience in the delivery of IT support services.
  • A current driver’s licence.
