Job description:
Lead projects for the development of strategies and policy responses that align to Tasmanian Government and Departmental priorities and legislative frameworks.

About the role
As a Section Manager – Projects, Policy and Strategy Coordination, you will lead the development of strategies and policy responses that align with Tasmanian Government priorities and legislative frameworks.
This role manages the planning, resourcing and delivery of key policy and strategy projects and provides high-level support to senior management in implementing and reviewing Marine Resources priorities. You will also:
- Undertake, lead and manage critical plans and projects relating to fisheries and aquaculture including managing direct reports and project teams to ensure successful delivery of objectives, outcomes, programs and grants.
- Represent the Agency on state and national committees and build strong relationships with stakeholders across industry and government.
This position can be located in Hobart or Launceston.

Hours per fortnight
73.50 hours per fortnight (minimum 58.80 hours, by negotiation).
Period of appointment
2 years.
Desirable requirements
- A qualification in a relevant discipline, as provided by either a university, a vocational education organisation or a registered and accredited training provider.
- Relevant industry experience.
- A current motor vehicle driver’s licence.
- AIIMS or other response training.
