This position is for a Clinical Nurse Specialist - Voluntary Assisted Dying Navigation Service (527035d). The position is also being advertised as an Allied Health Professional- (527035). The position will be filled on a merit basis.

The Team:
The Voluntary Assisted Dying (VAD) Navigation Service provides a central point of contact for information and support about voluntary assisted dying to people, families and carers, and health professionals, including:
- Support Tasmanians through the voluntary assisted dying process;
- Provide consistent and accurate information about voluntary assisted dying and access to voluntary assisted dying in Tasmania, including working with individuals and facilities to support participation and nonparticipation in voluntary assisted dying as appropriate.
- Liaise with patients, families, carers, health practitioners, health care workers and others who may be seeking information about or access to voluntary assisted dying; and
- Work closely with the Voluntary Assisted Dying (VAD) Commission, Voluntary Assisted Dying (VAD) Pharmacy Service, Voluntary Assisted Dying (VAD) clinical providers and other services as required to provide a comprehensive and coordinated Voluntary Assisted Dying (VAD) service
The Role:
The purpose of the Voluntary Assisted Dying Navigation Service is to provide Tasmanians with a Statewide point of contact in relation to voluntary assisted dying (VAD).
You will need to:
- Assist in building clinical workforce awareness, knowledge and capacity to facilitate appropriate responses to VAD, including participation in forums and discussion groups to foster understanding and awareness and facilitate the provision of the service.
- Provide consistent, accurate and current information about VAD and how to access it in Tasmania, including working with individuals and facilities to support participation and non-participation in VAD as appropriate, in accordance with the requirements of the VAD Act.
- Liaise with patients, families, carers, health practitioners, health care workers, hospital staff and others who may be seeking information about or access to voluntary assisted dying and provide timely and responsive solutions to people who have requested information about and/or access to VAD.

Permanent part time, day worker position, working 68.4 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible
*Notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.
Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.
Salary: $109,767 to $115,813 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
- Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmanian State Service) Agreement 2023.

In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:
