Job description:

In accordance with universal precautions and departmental policies and procedures, provide an efficient, safe domestic service including infection control cleaning across relevant wards, offices and residences.

The Team:

The Devonport Community and Health Services Centre (DC&HSC) is a main hub of community and allied health services on the North West Coast of Tasmania, providing a varied range of services to the local community. The small team of Domestic Service Officers work together to meet infection prevention and control requirements and maintain general cleanliness of the multi-storey building on a daily basis.

The Role:

We are seeking a motivated Domestic Service Officer to provide an efficient, safe commercial cleaning service including infection control cleaning at the Devonport Community and Health Services Centre (DC&HSC).

  • Maintaining a high standard of hygiene and cleanliness in clinical and ancillary areas in accordance with established policies, standards and guidelines.
  • Operate effectively as part of a team whilst working autonomously and being responsible for set areas within the building.
  • Ability to prioritise your workload, along with good communication skills.

Details of appointment:

  • Permanent, part time, shift worker position, working 20 hours per fortnight, commencing from as soon as possible.

*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Salary: $57,130 to $62,486 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

  • Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022
