The Team:
You will be working as part of the Outpatients Clinics team at the Northwest Regional Hospital.
The Outpatient Department at the Northwest Regional Hospital has 15 consulting spaces. We offer general medical, surgical, gynaecology, orthopaedic, paediatric, stomal therapy, cardiology, cardiac rehab, neurology, neurosurgical, dermatology, endocrinology, infectious diseases, neurophysiology, nephrology, staff health and various procedure clinics and nurse led clinics.
The team consists of administrative staff, nursing (EN and RN), graduate nurses, CNCs, Nurse Practitioner, and technicians. The environment is fast paced, ever changing and requires excellent time management skills on all levels.
The Role:

Perform Electroencephalography (EEG) tests under the general direction of the referring Specialists as triaged by the Neurologist on a day-to-day basis, including transfer of data to the Neurologist for reporting.

Perform Electroencephalography with more advanced testing procedures such as sleep deprived and/or with a sleep adjusted plan (supported with Melatonin).

Maintain all clinical neurophysiology diagnostic systems
- Collaboratively work with the administrative team to ensure the waitlist for this service is maintained efficiently and effectively.
- Maintain confidentiality and work according to all Agency policies, procedures and guidelines.
You will need:
- Tertiary qualification/program of study in clinical Neurophysiology endorsed by the Association of Neurophysiological Scientists of Australia Inc.
- Eligible for registration with the Australian Council for Clinical Physiology and for membership with the Association of Neurophysiological Scientists of Australia Inc
- Current Tasmanian Working with Children Registration

Details of appointment:
Permanent, part time, day worker position, working 16 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as you can join the team.
*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.
Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.
Salary: $110,425 to $121,907 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
- Salary range is in accordance with Allied Health Professionals Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022

You’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.

- Please note that access to salaries beyond $119,290 is subject to qualifications and/or application to the personal upgrade scheme
In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:
- Professional Development Allowance of up to $1000 per annum
