Clinical Nurse Educator District Hospitals – West Coast

Location: West Coast, Tasmania (Queenstown, Rosebery & surrounding communities) Based at West Coast District Hospital, Queenstown.

Are you passionate about education, clinical excellence, and rural health? Join us on Tasmania’s West Coast in one of Tasmania’s most breathtaking and rewarding regions?

The West Coast of Tasmania is a region of raw beauty, rich history, and resilient communities. A place like no other, home to rugged mountains, rich mining history, and a warm, welcoming community. From the historic town of Queenstown to the scenic beauty of Strahan and the charm of Zeehan and lush rainforests of Rosebery, this region offers a lifestyle that blends adventure, tranquillity, and purpose.

Queenstown is the largest town on the West Coast, nestled in the Queen River Valley and surrounded by the dramatic West Coast Range. Once the world’s richest mining town, its unique ‘moonscape’ terrain — a legacy of early 20th-century copper mining — creates a surreal and captivating backdrop. Today, Queenstown is a hub for tourism and outdoor adventure, offering 4WD tours, mountain biking, and the iconic West Coast Wilderness Railway. The town’s heritage architecture, including the grand Empire Hotel and the restored Paragon Theatre, adds charm and character to this resilient community.

But don’t take our word for it, living and working here is like a working holiday every day. You’ll be part of a close-knit community, making a real difference in the lives of residents across the West Coast.
