Job description:

Exciting opportunity for an 1147721 to join the Department of Health!

The Team:

Oral Health Services Tasmania is Tasmania's provider of public dental services to children and low-income adults across the State.  Clinics are located in urban and rural areas with services also provided in schools and preventive programs in a range of different community settings.

The Role:

Key responsibilities for the Executive Support Officer are to provide high level executive and administrative support to the Group Director and office management support for the statewide office.

You will need:

  1. Demonstrated capacity to manage the office of a senior manager, including the ability to undertake a range of administrative, secretarial and executive support services, together with the proven ability to work effectively, set priorities, meet deadlines, work under pressure and manage variable high-volume workloads.
  2. High level written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to negotiate effective outcomes with a wide range of stakeholders as part of a senior management team, with diplomacy and in a sensitive and confidential manner.
  3. Ability to maintain confidentiality, together with the proven capacity to exercise initiative, judgement, discretion and sound problem solving/decision making skills in a client service environment.

Details of appointment:

Permanent, full time, day worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.

*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.

Salary: $81,915 to $94,263 per annum. Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

  • Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022
