The Tasmanian Health Service is seeking interest from suitably qualified applicants for a Graduate Medical Scientist (Microbiology) vacancy located at Pathology Services, Royal Hobart Hospital.

Salary

$53,977 to $87,659 pro-rata per annum

Classification

Allied Health Professional Level 1-2

Agreement

Allied Health Professional (Tasmanian State Service) Agreement 2016

Period of Employment

Fixed term part-time day work (with on-call), working 45.6 hours per fortnight commencing as soon as possible for 12 months.

Duties

In the role of Medical Scientist (Microbiology) you will work as part of a team of professional staff engaged in the provision of an efficient and high quality diagnostic clinical microbiology service. The occupant will be expected to:

  • Demonstrate competence and proficiency compatible with their level of experience in the provision of this service.
  • Be an effective team member and contribute to new initiatives in the Department of Microbiology.

Essential Requirements

  • Satisfactory completion of an appropriate course of study at a recognised tertiary institution

3.  Disciplinary action in previous employment check
