The Tasmanian Health Service is seeking interest from suitably qualified applicants for a Medical Scientist – Anatomical Pathology vacancy located at Royal Hobart Hospital.

Salary

$53,977 to $87,659 pro-rata per annum

Classification

Allied Health Professional Level 1-2

Agreement

Allied Health Professional (Tasmanian State Service) Agreement 2016

Period of Employment

Permanent part-time day work, working 45.6 hours per fortnight.

Location

Anatomical Pathology, Royal Hobart Hospital

Duties

Working in the role of Medical Scientist your primary focus of duties will be professional involvement in the routine preparation and diagnosis of gynaecological and non-gynaecological cytology specimens for inpatient and outpatient services at the Royal Hobart Hospital.

Your secondary focus is working in the Routine Histology laboratory when the workload of the Cytology department permits.

Essential Requirements

  • Satisfactory completion of an appropriate course of study* from a recognised tertiary institution.

* Appropriate Course of Study is:

  • Bachelor of Applied Science or Bachelor of Science
